Just curious to find out what Google Chrome is all about, I decided to download it on November 15, 2009 and play around with it
This is what I like the most about Google Chrome
The next thing I know, the Google Chrome icon had replaced it

I don't why there's so much fuzz over Google Chrome. It almost sounds like some significant invention or innovation like Facebook, when in reality, it's just a simple Internet Browser meant to compete with Mozilla's Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer.Google Chrome's About Page says that it is made possible by the Chromium open source project and other open source software. I guess it's one of the reasons why Microsoft has gone head to head with Google, they seem to be going into everything. Microsoft's Bing comes to mind, which openly competes with Google of course.
Just curious to find out what Google Chrome is all about, I decided to download it on November 15, 2009 and play around with it. I hear it's fast

and that you can change it's skin to whatever motif or theme you like. And so I did just that. I chose the starlight theme, but to my dismay, the theme only hovers around the top of the screen, and the Google Chrome page, designated by a plus sign behind the page currently in view.When I downloaded it, I chose the option to connect to Google automatically for any updates or glitches. Not that I want to be hacked. It's just that in this day and age, all the big software or high tech companies are doing it, Microsoft included with Windows XP in particular.
Within an hour of using Google Chrome, it crashed on me. I'm sure Google got wind of ..

 that! Which brings me to my primary point: This Internet browser is neither sturdy nor fast at all. It feels like a light version of Internet Explorer, but certainly not crash proof.And speed? I don't think it's any faster than Firefox. Plus, surfing with Google Chrome sure feels like I'm using a very light Internet browser that is prone to crash. It also tends to open up in a smaller size screen, I just can't figure out why. My notebook computer's screen is already small enough, so it's rather annoying when Google Chrome does this!
The only thing that I find exceptional about it is when it comes to bookmarking. I can see thumbnails of my bookmarks, instead of just seeing 
their titles in a list format. This is what I like the most about Google Chrome.And yes, it's just an Internet browser, nothing more. I even thought it ate up my Firefox when I downloaded and installed it, because my Firefox icon just disappeared. The next thing I know, the Google Chrome icon had replaced it. 
2009 mac os x. Luckily, when I went from Start to Programs on my computer, I was still able to find the Firefox program. To date, I have three Internet browsers in my notebook computer: Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome. My first impulse is to use Firefox, because it's faster than the two, no kidding.
